Helen Bradley

HELEN BRADLEY Helen Bradley, a 52-year resident of Chico, died last Sunday in Enloe Hospital at the age of 84. Born in Oakland, she was raised in Southern California, where she attended high school in Monrovia and in 1949 served as a 'rose princess' in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. In 1950 she married Bill Bradley, with whom she spent the next 61 years, until his death in 2011. Trained as a bookkeeper, her 1st job was at the Singer Sewing Machine Co., and for 10 years in the 1970's she served as office manager for a Chico dentist. At her core, Helen was an artist. She loved painting water-color landscapes, dancing barefoot to classical music, and preparing exotic culinary creations for her friends and family. She was also an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Bidwell Park Women's Club. Helen Is survived by her three children, Mark Bradley of Sacramento, Linda Koontz of Paradise, and David Bradley, also of Paradise. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. 'Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.' Hiiary Cooper
