Shirley was baptized into the Lord’s family at the age of 13 and lived faithfully serving the Lord and others until her death. She was a member of the Chico Church of Christ, Lassen & Burnap for more than 40 years.
Shirley was a nurturing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and second mother to many others that she considered her extended family. She loved them all. She lived her life always welcoming others and was full of laughter. She would always enjoy the little moments of her family’s lives, always teaching them to find a reason to laugh and smile. Shirley always encouraged her family to keep their faith and give God the glory.
Cy an Shirley were married 64 years. In those years, her greatest joy was trips she and her husband made for his sporting events, to visit their children, and to watch their grandchildren’s sporting events, graduations, marriages, and many new babies.
