Fred J. Postlewait

Fred was born on December 15, 1924 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Cloyd J and Hannah G Postlewait. Fred was primarily raised in Neosho Tapids, Kansas. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1943. On November 6th, 1947 Fred married his sweetheart Bettie Verlene Johnson and in 1952 they moved to Oregon to raise his family on a small farm. Fred was a Carpenter by trade, but enjoyed the country and farming. When he wasn't working he enjoyed trap and sheet shooting along with wood working. He is survived by his four sons and one daughter: Fred (Merrie J) Postlewait of Newport, Jim (Lori) Postlewait of Colton, Tom (Marilyn) Postlewait of Canby, Gary (Carolyn) Postlewait Canby, and Gale (Jeff) Hipp of Wilsonville, along with 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving and adored wife: Bettie Verlene Postlewait. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Canby Funeral Chapel, 160 S. Grant Street, Canby, Oregon.
