Gwendolyn Elaine Baca

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Elaine Baca went home to be with the Lord on her 86th birthday, October 25, 2019 in Albany, Oregon.Gwen was born on October 25, 1933 in Union, Oregon to Howard Hastings and Eva Marie Hudson.She was the 9th of 9 children and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Gwen married Onesimo (Bill) Julian Baca on May 7, 1953.They had 3 daughters, Charlotte, Patty and Julie.Gwen was a wonderful Homemaker and Day Care Provider and was so happy to say, “It was God, who provided her day care for 36 years, 6 months and 4 days.” Gwen loved the Lord, her Bible, singing, playing the piano and writing poetry.Gwen loved her family, her day care children and their families. Gwen was a member of the First Christian Church in LaGrande, Oregon. Gwen leaves behind daughters Patty Glaze and her husband Larry Glaze and Julie Bundy and her husband Dean Bundy.She had 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces with their spouses. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Charlotte and granddaughter Amy. A memorial service will be held at the Canby Funeral Chapel on Friday November 1, 2019 at 11:00 am, located at 160 S. Grant Street, Canby, OR97013.A reception will follow at the funeral home.
