February 16, 1925 — January 5, 2016
Onesimo "Bill" Julian Baca went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home in Salem, Oregon. Onesimo Julian Baca was born February 16, 1925 in Montrose, Colorado to Euberto and Nativ (Medina) Baca. He was 90 years young. He leaves behind his sweet wife Gwen Gwendolyn) and 2 daughters; Julie A. Bundy (Dean) and Patty Glaze (Larry). He was preceded in death by his daughter Charlotte Clark. He had 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces along with their spouses. He was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army and considered it an honor to serve his country. He received numerous medals including the Bronze Star. He was also a gifted musician and loved to share that musical talent God gave him with everyone. He proudly served the people in the State of Oregon while working for the Oregon State Highway department. He was a true man of honor. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 there will be a Funeral Service for "Bill" at 10:30 AM at Canby Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Steve Watkins; followed by an escort to Willamette National Cemetery for burial there at 12:30 PM with the Military Honors Team. After the burial at Willamette National Cemetery will be a reception gathering at Bethany Church at 2:30 PM. (450 S. Ivy St., Canby, OR 97013). Contributions in memory of Onesimo "Bill" Baca may be made to Bethany Church. Arrangements entrusted to Canby Funeral Chapel. www.canbymolallafuneralchapel.com
