Mitchel Cline

Mitchel Joseph "Mitch" Cline, age 65, passed away on July 2, 2026. Born on November 24, 1960, to Dennis and Margaret Cline, Mitch lived a life filled with love, creativity, laughter, and a passion for bringing people together.

At just eight years old, Mitch discovered his love of cooking when he learned to make a pie and lettuce soup. That early interest grew into a lifelong passion. He proudly served six years in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany as an infantry cook. Throughout his life, Mitch was known for preparing incredible meals, always adding his own unique twists and flavors that family and friends looked forward to enjoying.

Mitch found joy in many of life's simple pleasures. He loved watching westerns, classic films, and Murder, She Wrote. He enjoyed woodworking and was happiest when creating, building, or restoring something with his hands. One of his most recent accomplishments was beautifully refurbishing an antique gumball machine, a project he was especially proud of. Mitch was also a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan and rarely missed the chance to cheer on his favorite team.

He also loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, taking long walks, or simply enjoying nature. Music was another constant source of happiness in his life.

Above all, Mitch cherished his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Auer; his son, Nick (Katz) Cline; his grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson; his best friend and military buddy, Mark Ingersoll; his sister-in-law, Sharon Robinson; and his brother-in-law, James H. Smith. He also leaves behind many other cherished family members and dear friends who will forever remember his kindness, sense of humor, and the love he so generously shared.

Mitch was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Margaret Cline; his sister, Michele; and his brother, Robbie Robinson, with whom he is now reunited.

Mitch's warmth, generous spirit, and love for family, friends, and good food touched many lives. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
