Teresa Martinez

Tribute Teresa Martinez went home to our heavenly father on May 20th, 2019. She was born on February 14th, 1941 to Joe and Pauline Atler, in Costilla, New Mexico. On August 9th, 1958, she married John S. Martinez in Vineland, Colorado. Together they had three children. John Jr., Geraldine and Walter Martinez. Teresa loved spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. One thing Teresa was known for was her delicious Mexican cooking. If she wasn’t cooking or spending time with her loved ones, you could be sure to find her at the Longmont Bingo Alley! She was also an avid Denver Bronco’s fan. Teresa is survived by her husband John S. Martinez of 61 years, her daughter Geraldine/Jolene Martinez, a daughter in-law Shelley Martinez, grandson Reuben Martinez, granddaughters Michelle (Jesus) Chavez, Jennifer (Geremy) Gutierrez, all reside in Longmont. Krystal (Isaac) Garcia of Greeley, Colorado. Great grandkids Jordan, Isabel, Julian, Anthony, Aaliyah, Alexis, Tennessa, Isaac Jr, and Elias. She is preceded in death by her parent’s, her two sons John Martinez Jr., Walter Martinez, and grandson Anthony Ray Martinez, and numerous extended family members.
