Cecil Wayne Doran

Kingsport – Cecil Wayne Doran, 74 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was retired from Eastman and later worked for Thompson & Litton Engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Beulah Cannon Doran; brother, Finley Doran. Cecil is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Conner Doran; daughters, Betsy Copas and Angie Doran and husband Daniel; sons, Joshua and wife Erin and Jake and wife Shaylee; grandchildren, Finley, Archer, Nate, Sage and Conner; brothers, Donald Doran and wife Jennie, Bill Doran and wife Carolyn, Randall Doran and Sherrill Doran; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, February 3, 2020 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Beulah Community Cemetery, 760 Beulah Church Road, Kingsport. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Doran family.
