Emma Dean Fields, 86, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday January 29, 2016 and is now walking in the garden with her parents.
Emma was born June 15, 1929 to the late Noah and Kate Dean. She was a devoted Christian. Emma loved to sew, and loved having family gatherings, she loved all her grandchildren. Emma never met a stranger and everyone she met loved her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Click; granddaughter, Melissa Fields; sister, Joanna Dean; brothers, Harry and William Dean.
She is survived by her children, Johnny and Liz Fields, Judy and Paul Davis, Lois Hall , Roger and Heather Fields and Rita Booker; grandchildren, Rebecca Jarrett, Julie Felds Mullins and fiancé Sam McCloud, Travis Jarrett, Kendra Stewart, Bonnie and Jamie Hall, Rachel Moore and husband Rodney, Amanda Fields and wife Sabrina, Anthony Fields of San Francisco, CA, Phyllis Bullard of Knoxville, Brenda Hall, Holly Payne and husband Scott, Junior Hall, Lois Ann Miller and husband Kevin, Marla Reynolds, Benny Fields, TJ and Dustin Arnold, Chad Booker, Anna Roos of Florida; 33 great-grandchildren; brothers, Arvil Dean of Ohio, Worley Dean, Dennis Dean and R.D. Dean and wife Kathy; sisters, Ebbie Skeens, Shirley and Charles Smith; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and loved ones; her two special babies, whom she loved and cared for very much, Jonathan "the baby" Killion and Travon "the little one" Russell.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport or anytime at the home of Johnny Fields, 1000 Stonegate Road. Apt S-9, Kingsport.
A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Arvil Dean officiating.
A graveside service will be held 1 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Dean Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers will be her sons, grandsons, great grandsons and brothers.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her special caregivers, Rebecca Jarrett, Tabitha Jarrett and fiancée April Tipton. Bonnie Hall, Destiny and Sierra Jarrett, also, to all the nurses and PCT on the 3rd floor Wilcox Hall.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Fields family.
