Hopkins Cecil Bell Jr.

Hopkins Cecil Bell Jr. 85, of Mount Carmel, died peacefully in his sleep and went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8th, 2026. He was a devout Christian. He loved going to church and talking about the Lord. He was an Army Veteran, serving from 1960-1963. He had been retired from Holliston Mills for 29 years. He was a member of gospel singing groups for over 40 years.

He was an avid craftsman experienced in woodworking and craft shows.

Survivors are his wife of 61 ½ years Phyllis Bell, son Danny Bell, of Kingsport; daughter Donna (Craig) Seabolt, of Mount Carmel; two grandchildren, Kaylee (Adam) Booth and Kara Seabolt; two great grandchildren, Liam and Laken Booth and twin great-grands on the way; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a graveside service only, on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA.
