Annie A. Winegar

Annie A. Winegar, age 86 of Duffield, VA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2025.  Annie was born on September 14, 1938, in Hancock County, TN, to James and Polly Perry.  In 1981, Annie married William Winegar and after 15 years of a beautiful life together, he preceded her in death in 1996.   

Annie enjoyed her time with her family and working in her garden and being outdoors.   

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Winegar; three brothers, Roy Perry, Ray Perry, and Howard Perry; and two sisters, Pearlie Hurd, and Ruby Jones.  She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Larry Wolfe officiating.  A graveside service will follow at Powers Cemetery.  Al Hurd, Delmus Lane, Eric Perry, and Tim Perry will be serving as pallbearers.
