Deborah "Lynn" Blalock Johnson

Deborah “Lynn” Blalock Johnson age 73, born Oct. 2, 1952 native of Hiltons, VA went to join her beloved parents Eugene “Diddle” Ray Blalock and Nancy Lane Blalock with our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Lynn was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring daughter, wonderful Naya, giving friend, and so much more to so many people. She spent 40 plus years working in the insurance profession. Lynn will be missed beyond measure! Her strength was incredible. Her selflessness was right up till her last breath. You are loved and missed already!

She was preceded in death by her in laws, Rev. Carl Johnson, SR. and wife Minnie Kate Johnson.

She leaves behind the love of her life of 54 years, husband Carl Johnson, two beloved children son, Brian Johnson, wife Paula; daughter, Christy Johnson; step son, Todd Church; 5 grandchildren, Hailey Michelle, J.R., Levi, Sawyer, Grayson Maverick; 4 step grandchildren, Brittany, Emily, Kassie, and Jaxson; 5 step great grandchildren, Kayden, Willow, Piper, Nora, and Ellie.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Music will be provided by Oscar Harris.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Rickey Osborne, Todd Church, J.R and Levi Goodall, Brian Cardwell, Scott Johnson, and Shannon Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Sawyer Goodall, Grayson Maverick Cardwell, and Jaxson Teague. Those who wish to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. to go in to procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to your local animal shelter in Lynn’s honor.
