Elizabeth Ann Fields, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 9:00 PM at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1948, in Roda, Va. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Marjorie Dean; her grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Elizabeth was a woman of faith, deep love, and strength. She was the glue that held our family together. Heaven has gained the best.

2 Corinthians 5:8: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”

Elizabeth retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 35 years of service as a lab tech.

She was a former member of Salley’s Chapel Baptist Church of Weber City, Va for many years and currently a member of State Line Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 59 years, Paul “Sammy “ Fields Sr. of the home; her daughter, Lisa Bevins (Kevin) of Yuma; her son, Paul “Sam” Fields, Jr. (Pauline) of Kingsport, Tn; step-son, Jeff Allen of North Carolina; granddaughters, Whitney Bevins, Rahni Prescott of Yuma; grandson, Shawn Fields (Kat) of Columbia, SC, and granddaughter, Jenna Allen of Richmond, Va; sister, Jennifer Mullins of gray, Tn; aunt, Aileen Lowe of Elizabethton, Tn; special sister-in-law/best friend, Cindy Byrd and Linda Winegar (Jerry); along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at Scott County Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Mike Eldreth, Matthew Mullins, Samuel McCurray, Jimmy Cousins, Larry Cousins, and Jeffery Lowe serving as pallbearers, David Cress, Jon Mullins, and Jerry Winegar serving as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to State Line Baptist Church, LCO Ministry at 310 W. Carters Valley Road, Kingsport, TN, 37665.

Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Fields family.
