Virginia Maddux Lane

Gate City- Virginia Maddux Lane, 92, of Gate City, passed away early on Wednesday morning (May 22, 2019) at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Virginia. Virginia retired from Sarah Coventry as a Regional Director. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (P-NUT) Lane; her son, Ronald (P-NUT) Lane; parents, Allen Detroit Maddux and Nannie Broadwater Maddux; Virginia Lane is survived by her daughter-in-law, Gwen Lane; grandchildren, Hunter D. Lane and girlfriend, Pam, Cole A. Lane and wife, Mariah; a soon to be born great granddaughter, Aspen; several nieces, nephews, many dear friends, and a loving neighbor. A graveside service will take place on Sunday (May 26, 2019) at 2 p.m. at Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Gate City, 274 Jones Street, Gate City, VA. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Lane family.
