Yahya Sarfaraz

Yahya Sarfaraz, 91, of Gate City passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born in Iran to the late Morteza Sarfaraz and Fatemeh Angha. Yahya received his bachelor's degree from ETSU in Industrial Engineering. He worked in several industries over his career as well as owning his own business. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his son, Barbara Sarfaraz; sister, Zohreh Sarfaraz.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Afsaneh Fatah; son, Cyrus Sarfaraz; along with host of friends and extended family.

A private service will be conducted.
