Donald W. Seegert

Donald W. Seegert of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Waukesha Springs Health Center at the age of 82 years. Don was born on May 21, 1930 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Walter and Vera (nee Porsow) Seegert. He married the love of his life, Lois H. Vegsund on July 10, 1954. Don was a member of Elmbrook Church, a former founding member of Waukesha Bible Church, and was active in the Telephone Pioneers. He worked at Wisconsin Bell/ Ameritech/ SBC, in the Waukesha, Racine, Madison and Milwaukee Areas from 1948 until 1990. Don was well known for his creative puns, and to lend a helping hand to all. Don will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Lois; his children, Teri (Jim) Downing of Waukesha, WI , DeAnn (Jeff) Montney of Merton, WI, and Jay (Amy) Seegert of Waukesha, WI; grandchildren, Jason (Keri), Jessica and Kaitlyn Downing, Joshua, Chase (Ashley), and Tyler Montney, Taylor, Tori Seegert; great-grandchildren, Sienna and Jethro. He is further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harvey Seegert. The visitation for Don will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Waukesha Bible Church, S53 W24079 Glendale Rd. Waukesha, WI 53186. Entombment of cremains will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Creation Education Center (C.E.C.), 1010 S. Comanche Ln., Waukesha, WI 53188 are appreciated.
