Marion J. Schwartz of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving daughters. Marion was born on October 29, 1929 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Clifford and Ada (Amend) Merwin. Marion was a longtime active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was employed by Waukesha County as a Benefits Specialist for many years. Marion was a proud supporter, volunteer, member and served on the Board of Directors for the Interfaith Caregiving Network . In her retirement, Marion helped many people and served as Guardian Ad Litem for the dependent elderly. Marion will be remembered for her many contributions to the community, her integrity and the great pride she took in her work with the elderly. She was a great cook, extended generous hospitality to everyone but more than anything loved her family.
Surviving are her daughters; Sherryll (Randall) Shaddock of Nashotah and Christine Koss of Waukesha, grandchildren; Hope Reid, Tara Bourgeois, Stephanie Schilling and Joseph Koss. Also surviving are great-grandchildren; Emmitt, Sawyer, Lydia, Samuel, Alexandra and Presley, and by a sister; Carol Leicher of Cudahy. Marion is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband; Charles, parents and by her son; Bryan Barker.
A visitation for Marion will be held on Sunday, September, 15, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188. Private interment will be held at Valhalla Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Marion may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 620 S. 76th. Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214.
