Entered into eternal life on July 15, 2026. Beloved husband for 68 years of Lorelei (nee McEwen) Mather. Loving father of Blane (Suzan) Mather, Kyle (Sharon) Mather, and Tania (Randy) Nicholson and proud Grandparent of Benjamin (Lauren) Perry, Jennifer (Evan) Chambliss-Wilson, Amy Richardson, Melissa (Andrew) Rohrbeck, Bryan (April) Schultz, Brandon (Katrina) Mather, and Theresa (Jeff) Jarka. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Sybella Mather, brother Thomas Mather, and sisters Marian Hanneman, Aileen Reilly, Nancy (Voss) Mather, and Laurel Walker. Further survived by sisters Frances Breitbach, Judith Mather, and Evelyn (Decker) Mather and many relatives and friends.

An active stamp collector from a very early age in his childhood, he donated time, talent and treasures to the hobby throughout his life. In turn, the hobby presented him many awards both locally and nationally. His proudest moments were when he could give support to the hobby with his efforts.

Bob spent the majority of his career working for Zero Zone, Inc., a commercial refrigerator manufacturing company in North Prairie, WI, where he joined a company of just six employees and retired from a company of well over 300 employees. He always felt that he had a little bit to do with that growth.

He spent a lot of his spare time working in his yard and garden raising many flowers, vegetables and fruits. He never got very far from his roots as a farmer and this was his release from any pressures that life threw his way.

Visitation will occur on August 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to the start of services at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church located at S38W31602 Wern Way, Waukesha, WI 53189. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place after services at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

The family respectfully asks for memorial contributions to be made to Alzheimer’s Association (Alzheimer's Association ) rather than sending flowers.
