Sallie Pruett

Sallie Pruett passed on Thursday June 11, 2026 in Waukesha, Wisconsin at the age of 83 years old.

Sallie entered this world on February 5, 1943 in Menominee, Michigan to Lawrence and Margaret (née Chernohoksy) Bourgeois.

Sallie graduated from Menominee High School and went on to attend St. Luke's School of Nursing where she received her degree in September of 1964. Sallie was a proud registered nurse before her retirement, serving her community by helping those fraught with illness and injury.

Sallie liked her peace, she was fond of walks on good weather days or reading quietly with a good novel. Sallie also liked to engage on occasion in talks with her loved ones where her sense of humor took center stage. Her wit brought laughter to all in attendance and phrases that will continue to bring smiles within the family as they remember her.

Sallie is survived by her children Sandi Pruett, Steve (Julie) Pruett, her daughter in law Lorie Pruett, grandchildren Cameron (Ariel) Wieland, Grace Pruett, Sammi Pruett and Maddy Pruett, great-grandchildren Gemma Wieland, Harrison Wieland and siblings Diane Bourgeois, Bonnie Bourgeois Zylkowski, and Bob Bourgeois.

Sallie is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Margaret Bourgeois, her husband William Pruett, her son Chris Pruett and her brother Lawrence Bourgeois.

Services for Sallie will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha, Wisconsin on June 30, 2026. The visitation starts at 10:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 am.
