William (Billy) Vito Giallo

William Giallo (Billy) Age-78 passed away at Health Park Medical center on May 31, 2026.  Billy was born on January 4, 1948 in Brooklyn NY and was a native of Glen Cove, New York.  He moved to Florida in 2001 and resided in Cape Coral for the past 25 years.  Billy proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and received the National Defense Medal and the Rifle Marksmanship Badge. He worked as a sales manager for Universe Kogaku America and was a member of the Glen Cove EMS Department.

Billy had a special love for animals especially his dog "Fredo". Billy was very active with the Cape Coral Animal Shelter helping homeless dogs find there "Forever" home.  Billy was also a big Disney Fanatic.

Billy is survived by his sister Margaret Currao wife of late Mike Currao.  He is also survived by two nephews, Michael Currao and his wife Li and Daughter Jessica and Charles Currao and wife Nancy, Son Nicholas and daughters Alyson and Nicole.  One niece Jennifer and husband Tom Pell and sons, Corey and Tommy. He is preceded by his parents Samuel and Sophie Giallo.

A memorial mass with Military honors will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 West Charlotte Avenue, Punta Gorda on Wednesday June 17th at 11:00am.  Inurnment follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery than a reception will follow at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home.
