Barbara Ann Moore

Barbara Ann Moore, 88 passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. She was born in Versailles, KY on February 21, 1938 to late Lillie B Todd Johnson (James William Johnson) and late William Thomas(Tom) Anglin. Barbara spent many years as a host at The Frankfort Country Club. Mamaw, as many of us called her, led a life of service to her family, to her friends, and mostly to people who just needed to be reminded their worth. She would give you the shirt off her back. She understood that everyone deserved to be loved, no matter their circumstances in this life. She loved to play cards with friends and family, she loved to color, she was a big shopper, she enjoyed to talk for hours, she enjoyed to watch Texas Ranger, Golden Girls, she was a big animal lover, she also loved to drive around, listening to music, she was a big holiday decorator, and loved to cook. 

She was preceded in death by her grandchild Brittany Lay and close family member Latanya Rawlins. 

She left behind her children, Kenny Lay(Vicky), Vickie Bonner, Jerry Lay(Julie). Her grandchildren Stephen Lay, Whitney Berry-Lay(Austin), Savannah Tingle-Lay(Codey), Tiffany Lay(Ashten), Jameson Bonner, Jenni Lay, Brooke Monroe. Her great grandchildren Destinee, Omar, Angeles, Tayshawn, Aiden, Laykin, Maddy, Paisley, Ava, Kaylin, Madison, Jensen, Journey, Jemma, Jemini, Jeneva, Jada, Maxine. Her close family members Linda Monroe, Belinda Jenkins. 

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 12:00PM until 3:00PM on Friday, July 10th, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road in Frankfort, KY 40601.
