Charlene Louise (Cunningham) Steinbrecher

Charlene Louise Cunningham Steinbrecher, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home in Frankfort. She was born in Davenport, IA on August 4, 1934 to the late Anson and Donna Vance Cunningham. Charlene attended the University of Northern Iowa and attained a Teaching Certificate after graduation. She worked briefly as a Teacher in Iowa before marrying Hal (Harold F) Steinbrecher and moving to Wheaton, Ilinois. Charlene lived in Wheaton for 45 years before moving to Frankfort in 2003 to be with family. She was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church and sang with the church choir for a number of years.

She is survived by her children, Fred Steinbrecher (Suzanne), of Frankfort, Charlie Steinbrecher (Denise), IL, and Julie Martocci, FL; her sister, Gretchen Pope, IA; and her grandchildren, Tori and Charlie, Sam Martocci, Kimmie Martocci, and Jen Martocci.

A memorial service to be held at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church is pending.
