Clyde Amos Kelly Jr

June 2, 1939 — June 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clyde Amos Kelly Jr., 86, (1939-2025) a cherished father, grandfather, and great grandfather, whose love, wisdom, and kindness has left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege to know him. He departed this world on June 13, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by the warmth of his family.

Born on June 2, 1939, to the late Iva House Kelly and Clyde Amos Kelly Sr. In Stamping Ground, Kentucky, into a world that he graced with his gentle spirit, he lived a life defined by compassion, integrity, and devotion to his family and friends. As a father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was a beacon of guidance and support, always ready to listen, share a laugh, or lend a helping hand. His values of hard work, honesty, and unconditional love were passed down, shaping the lives of his family and those dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Wanda Carr.

He is survived by his children, Greg Kelly, and Teresa (Ray) Nelson; his grandchildren, Ryan (Taylor) Kelly, Kimberly (Chris) Collins, Anthony (Ashley) Nelson, Ian Nelson; his great-grandchildren, Owen Collins and Kieran Kelly; his brother, Ronald Kelly; as well as his beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was more than a father, grandfather, and great grandfather; he was a brother, an uncle, a mentor, a friend, and a course of unwavering strength. His presence brought smiles, his words offered comfort and demonstrated a keen sense of humor. He approached every moment with gratitude and found joy in the simple pleasures - a good golf game, a shared meal, or a walk in nature with his beloved dogs.

While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. We honor his memory by living each day with the same generosity, humor, and love he so effortlessly shared. His legacy will continue to shine through the lives he touched and the values he stood for.

Family, friends, and loved ones will gather for an Irish Wake, where stories of his impact and moments of joy will be shared. Details of the service will be shared with those who will be invited.

May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
