Myra Jane Jennings

Myra Snapp Jennings, 75, widow of Steve Jennings, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was born on October 7, 1949, in Harrison County, the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Betty Harris Snapp.

Myra spent her career in public service, retiring from the Kentucky State Government, where she worked in Human Resources. A faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, she valued her faith and church community throughout her life.

Myra had a special love for the outdoors. She found peace and joy on her back porch and wicker porch, watching the birds and enjoying the fresh air, with her beloved dog by her side. More than anything, she cherished her role as a grandmother and shared a deep, loving bond with her grandson, Jalen, who was the light of her life.

Myra is survived by her son, Christopher Jennings (Erin); her brother, James Snapp (Jamie); her grandson, Jalen Martin Jennings; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father John Lijana officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
