Steven Leslie Brodt

Steven Leslie Brodt, 71, husband of the late Melinda Milligan Brodt, passed away on April 16, 2026 in Lexington. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 24, 1954 to the late William and Sarah Elizabeth Halstead Brodt. He spent his career with the Kentucky State Police, rising all the way to Lieutenant Colonel before retiring as a Major.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Clatos, of Frankfort, Michelle (David) Paul, of Georgetown, grandchildren,  Tyler (Leah) Clatos, Breanna Hendrickson, Kathryn Clatos, Adison Paul, Lillian Brock. In addition, his sister, Deborah Brodt and brother, Edward (Sue Hill) Brodt, his nieces and nephews, Stacy (Doug) Sipple, Leslie (Kevin) Heindselman, Matthew Brodt, Jacob Brodt, Jana (Jeff) Culp, great nieces and nephews, Owen Heindselman, Meghan Heindselman, Evie Heindselman, Andrew Khorana, Layla Brodt, Lacroix Brodt.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Brodt.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Ed Brodt, David Paul, Kevin Lilly, Tyler Clatos, Steve Stosburg, and Andrew Khorana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Steven Brodt to Trooper Island.
