Devoted Husband, Loving Father and Grandfather
Wallace “Wally” Jamison, 90, widower of Shirley Franks Jamison, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was born in Shelby County, Kentucky, on February 17, 1935 to the late Lloyd Jamison and Glenna Hardin DeVine. Wally was the owner/operator of Jamison Trucking and in the milk hauling business for over 50 years. He was a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ann Jamison of Highlands, NC; Sheri Jamison Parris (Don) of Greenville, SC; and Susan Jamison Hancock (Terry) of Frankfort, KY. His grandchildren: Andy Fisher, Joe Fisher, Laura Fisher-Caudill (Josh); Jenny LaRue (Jessee Wagner), Taylor LaRue (Meghan); Kyle Hancock (Buckley). His great grandchildren: Mildred Fisher, Laurel Hancock, Alder Hancock, Sam Wally Wagner, Lucy Wagner, and Matthew LaRue.
Wally will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and baking his famous date cookies. We will all miss his smile.
Funeral service will be held at 11:15 AM on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:15 AM prior to the service at the same location. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Wally’s grandchildren.
Remembrances may be sent to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice).
