Charles Lee Mcguire

Charles L. McGuire, 81, of Nicholasville, departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born on October 27, 1943, in Pikeville, KY, the 11th child of George and Anna McGuire. Charles met Lissie Middleton in March of 1964 in Smith, KY and after a brief courtship, he married the love of his life on August 10, 1964. On November 1, 1973, they were blessed to have a son, Charles Robert McGuire. He was God sent for them as he did change their lives forever.  

Charles left Kentucky at a young age to Chicago, IL, where he attended school and learned the machine shop trade. Along with his family, Charles returned to Kentucky in 1973. He was a machine shop teacher and retired in June of 2000. Job 14:15- Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: Thou wilt have a desire to work of thine hands. 

Charles leaves a sister, Pearlie Lange, Defiance, OH; a beloved fur- baby, Dolly; many nieces and nephews; loved ones; friends; and his brothers and sisters of the Primitive Baptist Church, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY, where he was a member and a deacon. 

A visitation will be held, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 11am-1pm, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home, with a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY at 2pm.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Christian Mission.
