Obituary Charles "Red" Sloan, 86, of Lexington, Kentucky and husband of Dorothy E. Sloan, died Monday, August 6, 2012. He was born June 7, 1926 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Harlan and Martha Lairson Sloan. Red was a WWII US Army Veteran, owner of R M Bait Shop and a retired employee for Trane. In addition to his wife of 63 years, Red is survived by his sons, Ronald Edward Sloan and Harlan Spencer Sloan, both of Lexington, KY, and Marvin L. Stone of Mt. Vernon, KY; daughters, Rita Fay Sloan of Oklahoma City, OK and Debra Kay Sloan Curran of Lexington, KY; sister, Wandis Everman of Lexington, KY; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Charlotte Sloan. Funeral Information Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Funeral Service will be 1 pm, Thursday, August 9, 2012, also at Clark Legacy Center. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Georgetown, KY.
