Darrell Wayne Kimberling

Darrell Wayne Kimberling Jr., 49, husband of Misty Kimberling, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 3, 1977 to Jessie Cox and Darrell Wayne Kimberling Sr.

Darrell was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather who cherished his family more than anything. He had a kind heart and a gentle spirit that made people feel comfortable around him. To those who knew him best, Bub was a big teddy bear, a big kid at heart who loved laughing, spending time with family, and making memories with the people he loved most.

One of his greatest joys was having his grandson over and spending time with the people closest to him. He will be remembered for his warmth, his caring nature, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.

Darrell was a Christian and had been baptized in faith.

Besides his wife and parents, those left to cherish his memory include his beloved son Logan Collins (Savannah); grandson, Xander Collins; brothers, Scott Kimberling and Brendan Estes; sister, Holly Kimberling (Aaron); nieces and nephews, Carrie (Cody), Abby, Braxton, Chloe, and Luna; and great nieces and nephews, River, Ozzi, Cody Scott, and Sutton.

A private service will be held by the family.
