David Lee Griffith, Sr.

David Lee Griffith, Sr., 74, of Lexington, KY passed away on Father’s Day, June 21st.

Married on March 18, 1972, he is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna Sue (Shelton).

He is also survived by his children, Angela (Damien) Whitehead and Davy (Jill) Griffith; grandchildren, Alexanderia Schaefer, Michael Griffith, Lance Whitehead, Brendan Griffith, Tony Griffith, Shelton Whitehead, and Kylie Griffith; special great-great-niece, Harper Baker; and siblings, Beath Sparks, Emmett Griffith, Larry Griffith, Sharon Lunsford, and Brenda Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford “Happy” and Beaulah Griffith; and siblings, Anna Miller, Wilma Vaught, Tony Griffith, Sue Lunsford, and Roger Griffith.

Until retirement, he was a long-time heavy equipment mechanic and owner of Sideline Repair. He loved spending time with his family, being a Pap-paw, and telling stories. In the past he was an avid hunter, fisherman, & dart player.

A celebration of life will be held in July. Details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
