Freel Osborne Jr., 79, of Lexington, KY, departed this life peacefully on May 19, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born January 1, 1946, in Drift, KY, the son of the late Freel Sr and Susie Mae Bellamy Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents John Denton & Carrie Osborne and Samuel & Rosetta Bellamy, three brothers, John Osborne, Dent Osborne and Charles Spears, two sisters, Thelma Bently and Vonda Gail Kenne. Junior loved fishing, gardening, traveling, especially to the beach, playing his guitar and reading his Bible. Two things that could always be said about him is that he loved Jesus and his family. Junior is a retired home health truck driver for Appalachian Regional Healthcare and a fourteen-year member of Lexington Bethel Baptist Church where he served as trustee and assistant treasurer. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Sharon Payne Osborne; two daughters, Janet Mullins of Lexington, KY, Jessica (Jonathan) Lambert of Chapmanville, WV; three granddaughters, Kaitlyn and McKenzie Mullins of Lexington, KY and Emily Lambert of Chapmanville, WV; a special granddog, Emmett; one sister, Ruby Osborne Skeans of Martin, KY; one brother, Danny (Tina) Osborne of Hazard, KY; a special nephew who he considered one of his own, Randall (Tonia) Howard of Bulan, KY; a special former son-in-law and friend, Randy Mullins of Lexington, KY; and a host of other family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 3pm, at Lexington Bethel Baptist Church, 4686 Todds Road, Lexington. The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospital, The Willows of Hamburg and Lexington Premiere for their amazing support and care through his illness.
