Obituary
Henry Boyd Barclay, 66, husband of Sally Barclay, died April 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospice. He was a loving husband, caring father, dedicated grandfather and passionate horseman. Henry was born in Paterson, NJ on Feb. 20, 1947 to Robert and Jeanette Barclay. Henry graduated from Ramapo HS and Fairleigh Dickinson Univ. in NJ. He played the French horn in the marching band. Henry also created the 1st handicap horse riding program in NY St., including the AHSA/USEF "A" shows that benefited special needs charities, and he was very influential and active in the hunter, jumping, and racing world. He raised his family in Tampa, FL as a humble automotive business consultant.
In addition to his wife, Henry is survived his daughter, Barbara Ann Barclay of LA; his granddaughter, Cassandra Barclay; his two sisters, Evelyn Crawford Petzolt of FL and Jean Bryden of VA; and his brother, Robert Barclay of NJ.
Funeral Information
There will be a family gathering and potluck Monday, April 8 2013 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM to celebrate the life of Henry at the Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort.
