Jessie Margaret Van Hook, 87, widow of Elmer Leroy Van Hook, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Lancaster, Kentucky daughter of the late Cecil and Hallie Murphy Hurt. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, loved reading her Bible, working with her flowers and gardening. Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Morgan and Janice Van Hook, both of Lexington and Pamela Thompson, Richmond; one son, William K. Van Hook, Lexington; four grandchildren, Heather Freeman, Christopher Van Hook, Savanna Thompson and Tiffany Thompson {Kevin] five great grandchildren, Nadia, Aisha, Autumn, Kayla, and Michael, and one great great grandchildren, Carson Carter. Her visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday March 14, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church conducted by Rev. DeWayne Walker with burial in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
