Moore, John F. "Jack", 86, of Lexington, widower of Joan Patterson Moore, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. Mr. Moore was retired from the Buckley and Co. Insurance agency where he was an agent for many years. He was born in Danville, Kentucky on June 26, 1927, to the late William Guy and Anna Mae Moore. In addition to his wife of 48 years, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Mr. Moore is survived by a brother, Robert Moore, his three children, John (Gina) Moore and Gary (Tami) Moore of Lexington, and Missy Simmons of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. and very special friend, Wanda Gilliam. Additionally, he is survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of Mr. Moore's Life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, Kentucky, from 2 until 5 pm. At Mr. Moore's request, this will be a casual open house celebration. All family and friends are invited to attend.
