John Lee Naylor Jr.
October 13, 1930 — August 21, 2014
Lexington, KY
John Lee Naylor, Jr., 83, died August 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife Edith (Hiles) Naylor; Daughters Barbara (Randy) Miller, Peggy (Franky) Morrison and Carol (Donny) Miller; son Mike Lee Naylor; dearly loved stepchildren Douglas Ray Drake, Mark (Margo) Drake, Teresa Hickey, Pamela (Jeffrey) Honchell and Christopher (Debbie) Drake; sisters Margie Zipperer and Shirley (Buck) Elliott; brothers Kenneth Naylor, Lawrence Naylor and Willie (Lavada) Naylor; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a special friend and neighbor Eric.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Lee and Mary (Plumber) Naylor Sr.; sister Dorothy Prewitt and brothers Harold and Tommy (Reva) Naylor.
John was a member of Andover Baptist and had served in the USAF during the Viet Nam War. He loved to fish, especially when he had a house on Lake Harrington. Vacationing in Florida were some of his favorite times, or anywhere else that he could drive to. He was a very loveable man, who would stop and help any stranded motorist, even if the repairs came out of his own pocket. His family claims that he could drive anything with a motor in it...and if it broke down, he could fix it.
John was always ready to offer advice, but it was mostly, "Talk to your God about it".
He will be missed by all.
