Thomas E. Atwell Sr.

Lexington, KY Thomas E. Atwell, Sr., 80, died December 25, 2017. He is survived by his wife Ann (Lunsford) Atwell; sons Thomas (Tammy) Atwell, Jr. and Greg (Jenny) Atwell and grandchildren Brittany, Bryce (Tessa), Matthew, Alan, Emma, Wyatt and Tempy. He is preceded in death by his parents John Atwell and Lucy (Merrian) Woodson; sisters Edna, Martha and Lefty and brother Buck. Thomas was a family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his sons and their children. In younger years he was an avid fisherman and a forever UK Baskeball fan. For fun, he loved to visit Disney World as often as possible. Thomas was also an avid car buff, who could fix most everything. He loved to travel in an old conversion bus, that he and his brother-in-law restored. Thomas was a great story teller who never met a stranger. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7PM, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
