David Nicholas Zaluski
Nov 16, 1951 — Jun 23, 2026
David Nicholas Zaluski, age 74, of Versailles, Kentucky, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026 following a courageous battle with Parkinson's Dementia disease, with his loving family by his side.
Born on November 16, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio, David was the son of Joseph John Zaluski and Goldie Zugai Zaluski, both Yugoslavian immigrants who came to the United States seeking opportunity and a better life for their family. As a first-generation American, David embodied the values of hard work, perseverance, determination, and gratitude that his parents instilled in him from an early age.
After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, David followed his brother, Joseph, to Lexington, Kentucky, in 1974. There, through creativity, vision, and an unwavering work ethic, he built a remarkable career and life. David founded Industrial Marketing, Inc., growing the company into a nationally recognized marketing and advertising organization serving businesses throughout the United States. Under his leadership, the company expanded to own and publish national trade publications, establishing a legacy of innovation, service, and excellence.
On April 11, 1981, David married the love of his life, Jane Ellen Cummins Zaluski. Together they shared 45 years of marriage, raising five children and creating a family rooted in love, faith, commitment, and hard work. Though he was proud of his professional accomplishments, David considered his greatest achievement to be the family he and Jane built together.
After retiring in 2010, David devoted himself to the people who mattered to him most. He especially enjoyed traveling and making memories with his children and grandchildren. Whether on family vacations, celebrating milestones, attending sporting events and gatherings, or simply enjoying time together, David found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by those he loved.
Known for his wisdom, generosity, creativity, and quiet strength, David was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, trusted mentor, and loyal friend. He led by example, teaching those around him the importance of integrity, perseverance, and treating others with respect. His steady presence and thoughtful guidance touched countless lives.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Goldie Zaluski, and his beloved twin sister, Diana Radulovich.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Zaluski; his brother, Joseph Zaluski and wife Candy; and his brother-in-law, Rudy Radulovich.
He is also survived by his children, Eric Zaluski and wife Nicole; Andrew Zaluski and wife Bailey; Haley Black and husband Jason; Jacob Zaluski and wife Lauren; and Nicholas Zaluski and wife Hannah.
David was the proud grandfather of Raylan Zaluski, Emmeline Zaluski, Brantley Zaluski, Cora Zaluski, Camryn Zaluski, Madelynn Black, Presley Black, Noah Zaluski, and Gavin Zaluski.
David's legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the business he built, and the values he passed to future generations. He will be remembered for his integrity, determination, generosity, creativity, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though he achieved considerable professional success, he measured his life not by business accomplishments, but by the love of his wife, children, and grandchildren. To his family, he was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and entrepreneur, he was the foundation upon which generations were built.
A private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with invited guests as arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in David's memory.
