April 4, 1951 — August 19, 2023
Katherine “Kathy” D. Sneed was born on April 4, 1951 and passed away after a long and valiant fight with Cancer on August 19,2023. She spent her early life as a farmer in a small town in Nebraska before moving to central Florida (Polk County) in her 30’s and becoming a school teacher. She spent many years in Maui, Hawaii and Fort Lauderdale, FL before meeting the love of her life- Steven and settling permanently in Mulberry, FL with their daughter – Katie (Phil) and her grandchildren Madelyn, Lawson and Jackson.
She is survived by her husband – Steven Sneed and children- John Sedersten, Stephanie Sneed, Gabriel Sedersten (Anna) and Katie Hayes (Philip). Grandchildren – Madelyn Perritt, Lawson Yoxall, Jackson Hayes, Riley Lewis, Kaylee Sedersten, Sophia Sedersten, Elizabeth Sedersten, Rachel Dawson (Sedersten), Victoria Clark and Nick Clark. Great GrandChildren – Todd Dawson and Theodore Lewis. Sister- Lynn (Rod) Stubbs and many nieces, nephews and other family and close friends.
Kathy was a vibrant and free-spirited woman who loved music (rock and roll), dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. In her free time, she would garden, quilt and sew. She loved the ocean and playing in the waves. She was the most honest, bold and beautiful soul with wild beautiful eyes and was always looking forward to the next adventure. She encouraged everyone to follow their dreams and be themselves. She will be missed by all that were honored to have met and known her.
