Raymond John Furlong

On May 3, 2026, Raymond John Furlong went home to be with the Lord. He passed away at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale, FL with his family by his side.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1943. He was the last child born to Charles and Alice Furlong, who preceded him in death.He met the love of his life, Theresa Smith. They had two daughters, Cheryl and Theresa. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage this year.Raymond was employed as a truck driver for over 50 years. After moving to Florida in 2003, he worked various positions at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and then in the last 10 years he worked at Publix in the Deli. Raymond loved his family and traveling.Raymond is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Roberson and husband, James and his grand-daughter, Kristen Forsyth and her husband Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, his wife, Theresa, and his precious daughter, Theresa Smith.Persons wishing to leave a lasting gift in Raymond’s memory can make donations to The WAY Center.
