Kevin B Mccurry
Oct 26, 1963 — Apr 11, 2026
Kevin B. McCurry — a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, a friend, and a man whose presence left a mark on everyone who knew him.
Kevin passed away on April 11th at 8:03 p.m., surrounded by his family and faithfully watched over by his loyal dog, Mallie. Even in his final moments, he was held in love. Kevin is survived by his wife, Vickie; his five children — Justin Bounds, Chris Bounds, Kaitlyn Cuttler, Anthony Reinert, and Erin Turner; his thirteen grandchildren; his brothers, Steven and Greg; and a large extended family. For 26 years, Kevin served the State of Oregon as a Correctional Officer. He was respected not only for his dedication and work ethic, but for the way he treated people — with fairness, steadiness, and a quiet strength that earned admiration from colleagues and those he worked alongside. But beyond his career, Kevin’s heart was always with his family — both the two‑legged and the four‑legged ones. He loved his dogs with the same fierce loyalty and affection he showed his children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Kevin knew that his pets weren’t just animals; they were part of his family, and they brought him joy, comfort, and companionship. He will be missed more than words can express, but he will be remembered in every life he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pendleton Christian School 3121 SW Hailey Ave, Pendleton Oregon on Saturday, April 25th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a potluck lunch provided. A small program will be shared, and a flag ceremony will take place in Kevin’s honor around 11:30 am. All who loved him are welcome to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life he lived. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local animal shelter or suicide prevention programs. To send flowers or plant a memorial tree in memory, please visit our flower store.
