Elizabeth Ann Foley
January 15, 1947 — March 22, 2026
Elizabeth Ann Foley, 79, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, which she had faced with remarkable resilience for 40 years. She was born on January 15, 1947, in Tacoma, WA, to John and Peggy Fazio, who preceded her in death. It was there she met her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Morrie Foley.
Morrie and Elizabeth built a loving home in Puyallup, WA, where they cherished raising their two daughters. Even after her MS diagnosis Elizabeth embraced life fully and refused to let it slow her down. She continued working for many years, including at Safeway, where her customers and coworkers became like family. She was a Brownie Troop leader and volunteered for the Puyallup school district, partially while her daughters were attending and even after they had graduated. Some of her happiest times were basking in the sun and tending to her garden. She loved the color purple, buying way too much from QVC, crossword puzzles, and drinking Coca-Cola Classic. Despite the relentless nature of her disease and the toll it took on her, her infectious smile and sense of humor remained intact. She never complained or felt sorry for herself.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those she touched.
She is survived by her husband Morrie. Daughters Danielle Reddy (John) and Angela Mauerman (Brian). Grandchildren Jared and Jordyn Reddy and Kyle Mauerman. Sister Kathie Carter (Doug) and Johnnie Fazio (Roz).
We would like to acknowledge all the “angels” at the Brookdale South Hill Dementia Facility. The compassion they showed Elizabeth and our family during her last moments was invaluable.
