Joyce Glenn Heiner Fielding

Joyce Glenn Heiner Fielding passed away September 5, 2022, in North Ogden, Utah, surrounded by members of her loving family. Joyce was born on May 24, 1937 to Carl and Lurline (Glenn) Heiner in Heyburn, Idaho.
Joyce was the youngest of 8 children, and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended nursing school at the LDS Nursing School in Idaho Falls and became a registered nurse in 1958. While attending LDS Nursing School, Joyce met Robert (Bob) Fielding who was supposed to be on a date with her best friend. Robert and Joyce were married for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls temple on June 11, 1958. After a lot of moving about the country, Bob and Joyce settled in Milton, Washington in 1972. Joyce spent much of her career working for Valley Terrace Nursing Center in Puyallup, Washington. She eventually went back to school at the University of Washington and earned her ARNP/GNP license. .
Joyce was the amazing mother of 6 kids: Barb Fielding of Tacoma, Colin (Kim) Fielding of Sumner, Jennifer (Mark) Grenlund of Frederickson, Cory Fielding of Frederickson, Rick (Debbi) of Syracuse, Utah and Becky (Chris) of North Ogden, Utah. She is also the loving grandmother of Jonathon, Kaylea (Kelton), Mechelle, Colin (Courteney), Kendra (Dylan), Quentin, Joseph (Elizabeth), Caleb, Cary, Elizabeth, Abigail, Cooper, Jesse, Samantha, Lucas, Beckett, and Jacob, and Great-Grandmother to Karsten, Kyren, Kohler, Henry, Ryker, Hudson, Klara, Kingsley and Grayson.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob, her grandson Jonathon, as well as her parents and her siblings, Calvin, Elizabeth, Carl A., Garland, Helen and Janice. She is survived by her brother, Phillip, and all of her children.
The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful staff of The Lodge at North Ogden for their loving care of Joyce in the last 14 months of her life, as well as the staff at Atlas Homecare & Hospice and Myers Mortuary of Ogden, Utah.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (512 Valley Ave. in Sumner, Washington. Interment immediately following the service at the Sumner Cemetery. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home of Sumner.
