Sharon Patricia Galvan
May 12, 1938 — Jun 8, 2026
My mother, Sharon P. Galvan, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2026 in Tacoma, Washington. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene Clifton, grandchildren Sarah Rose Clifton and Jesse Clifton. She was thrilled to play with her first and only great grandson, Jazz Hart. She adored her nieces Debbie Champley, Tiffany Jordan, DeAnn Hill Wolff, Darla Towner and especially her nephew Joe Hill. She is joined in heaven with her mother, Irene Messerknecht and sister, Judith Hill.
DeAnn Hill Wolff wanted to express her thoughts:
Rest in peace my beloved and beautiful Auntie Sharon. I will always remember visiting you in Washington as kids having the time of our lives and then you visiting me with my kiddos! You were always so kind, gentle and silly. You will be missed but not forgotten. Always in my heart. I love you, DeAnn.
Sharon's favorite hobbies and interests included being with her family, cuddling with her beloved tabby cat, Dante, feeding birds and squirrels, watching movies and winning at scrabble. She enjoyed meeting new friends at the library and volunteering at the senior center. She always liked to listen to motown music and dance. She even won a Twist competition!
Sharon was lovingly cared for by her hospice nurse, Elizabeth, of Shalom Adult Family Home in Tacoma, Washington. We were so blessed to have found her and her sweet family. We are very grateful for the excellent care provided by Pacific Pace Partners Multicare medical team that helped my mother for the last 2 years.
There will be no funeral service but donations can be forwarded to Shalom Adult Family Home of Tacoma, Washington.
My mother loved telling everyone she met her silly jokes, so here is one of her favorites:
Why was Papa the centipede so sad?
All his kids needed shoes
RIP Mom.
