Lydia Marie (Meier Strohmeier) Hendricks of Kingsford, MI passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 in her winter home in Venice, FL. She was born May 20, 1924 in Alhambra, IL. She is survived by her husband Henry, her son Gary Strohmeier of Roxana, IL, Stewart Hendricks of High Springs, FL, Sue Ann O’Conner of Tomah, WI, Judy Labrador of Plantation, FL; grandchildren James, Anne, and Craig Strohmeier, Timothy and Ryan Hendricks, Heather Roberts, Theresa Amberson, Gabriel and Kathryn Labrador and 9 great grandchildren. Lydia was preceded in death by her sisters Olinda Franke, Olga Franke, Mabel Honerkamp, her brother Otto Meier, and Jeffery Hendricks. She was a long time member of Our Redeemers Lutheran Church, Kingsford. She retired from W.B. Thompson in 1981 where she was a bookkeeper. Lydia liked to quilt and work with crafts of all kinds. She entered many of her projects in the Dickinson County Fair and won ribbons. Burial will take place in Illinois Arrangements are not yet finalized.
