Rita M. Moore, 87, of Tampa, formerly of North Port, passed away on August 17, 2007. She was born in New York, NY on February 15, 1920. For 25 years she worked for E.J. Korvettes in Manhattan until retiring in 1983. In 1984 she came to live in North Port. She was a long time volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a member of Temple Beth El in North Port. Survivors include two sons, Dennis I. of Tampa and Lawrence D. of Trempealeau, WI; brother Robert Walker of Pembroke Pines, FL; four grandchildren, Louis Moore of San Francisco, CA, Andrew Moore of Tampa, Ruth Moore of Tampa, Jack Moore of Trempealeau, WI. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Monday, August 20th at the Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Rest Lawn Memorial gardens in Port Charlotte. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Temple Beth El, 3840 S. Biscayne Dr. North Port, FL 34287.
