Jane (Lapinski) Achterling, born June 9th , 1957, passed away peacefully on June 4 th, 2022 with family at her home in Venice, FL. She remained stoic and positive despite her battle with cancer. She grew up in Maplewood, MN with other former residences in MN, WI, and MI. She enjoyed working 36 years in the medical field. Her passions included cooking, entertaining friends, maintaining beautiful gardens at her primary residences and summer cabin in Crosslake, MN, as well as traveling. She took her final trip to Hawaii in October to see her daughter, Alissa, marry her son-in-law, Tony Ramberg. She was accompanied by her husband and soulmate, Greg Achterling and close friends. She truly embraced life and lived a full one in which she ensured she maintained many meaningful relationships spanning 50+ years. Jane is also survived by her siblings Margie Lapinski, David Lapinski, Mary Jo (Lapinski) Hanson, and Karen (Lapinski) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Lapinski and Gloria (Johnson) Lapinski. There will be a celebration of Jane's life on July 16th with visitation at 10:00 am followed by a mass at 11:00 am. The celebration will be at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Dr, Mound, MN.
