Chiara Mary Shanika, age 79, daughter of Cornelius and Helen Warren died peacefully July 17, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Shanika and her sister Marilyn Stemmermann. Chiara was very active in church activities at Epiphany Cathedral. She was also an expert seamstress. She often altered and repaired vestments for parish priests and deacons. She was very generous with her sewing talent and frequently created gifts for her co-workers at church including several heirloom quality baptismal gowns. A funeral mass will be conducted at Epiphany Cathedral on Friday, July 29th at 1 pm after which her cremains will be interred in the church’s memorial garden. In lieu of flowers please send your donation to Tidewell Hospice in Venice, FL.
