Judy Porter died peacefully on August 24, 2022, at Venice Hospice House after a short illness. A resident of Venice since 2003, she lived at Tuscan Gardens Venetia Bay after moving there in February 2019 from the community of The Isles of Chestnut Creek. Judy was an active member at the Venice Senior Friendship Center, and a congregant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and she may be remembered for her volunteer work at the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce tourist information center. Judy (nee Hogan) was born and raised in Larchmont, NY. After a short business carrier in NYC, Judy married her husband Tom in 1957; together they raised their family in New Rochelle, N.Y. In the late 70’s Judy returned to business as an Insurance Agent and then in the late 80’s they moved to Berkely Heights, NJ. After retiring, they moved to Venice FL for the beach and the sunshine. Tom passed away in January 2020 and Judy is survived by three sons: Tom Jr and his husband Richard of Greenwich, CT, Scott of Costa Mesa, California and Jeffrey and his wife Amy of Larchmont, N.Y. and four grandchildren Cayla and Shelby, Emily and Jack. The close family is planning a private celebration of her life in Venice FL.
