Lance Hewitson age 80 of Venice, FL passed away on October 13th, 2022. Lance was born on July 27th, 1942, in Trenton, NJ to Thomas and Melvina (Lord) Hewitson. He was a graduate of Ewing High School and Rider College and served as an Intel Specialist for the United States Army in Berlin, Germany. After leaving the army, Lance worked as a financial planner. Lance was an avid golfer, enjoyed archery, fine dining, and travel. Lance will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda Samuels Hewitson; daughters Nina Natasja Hewitson (David Dryden); grandson Levi Butler Dryden; stepdaughter Melanie Drake; brother Jeffery (Rita) Hewitson; nieces Nikole (Jeramy) Hewitson Braud, Amanda (Tom) Hewitson Saxton; nephew Scott (Kimberly) Hewitson; great nieces and nephews Chase, Laarz, Cameron, Carter, Jamon, Kylie, Tristan, Colette, and Capri. A service will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
