Donna J. Lowry 90, of Sarasota, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her residence. Donna was born in Basil, Ohio on July 4, 1932 and graduated from Liberty Union High School. She married William Lowry in Sept. 1950 and was married for 70 years. Donna was very active in the Mothers of Twins Club for several years. In 1972 she moved to Sarasota, FL. She has been a member of the Church of the Palms for over 50 years and sang in the church choir and Cantori choir for many years. She loved music. She worked as a legal secretary for McCardle & Schmoyer before retiring. Once she retired, she worked as a Crossing Guard for Sarasota County Schools. She loved seeing the children and their parents and getting to know each of them. Donna is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lowry Moore (Denny), son, Jay E. Lowry, granddaughter, Jennifer Hand Marcial, great grandchildren, Elin and Josiah Marcial. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Jon Lowy, her husband William Lowry and her four brothers Robert Roshon, Emerson Roshon, Harvey Roshon, Richard Roshon and her sister, Ruth Farley. Services will be through the Farley Funeral Home in Venice and a Celebration of Life service will be held at the Church of the Palms, 3224 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL, on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
